Sill Pans – All-in-one water management
Sill pans are important and staying up to code and protecting your doors and windows from water damage is easy with accessories from Hawkeye. More and more, contemporary codes are becoming more astringent in regard to water flashing around doors and windows; primarily because they require sill pans to drain all water intrusion to the exterior of your structure.
Generally, these pans are almost always hidden from view; but with Hawkeye’s expertise, proper planning and a detail design, an exposed sill can complement your doors and windows. Classic aluminum sill pans are produced from heavy gauge, high quality aluminum for flawless durability, weather-tightness and well balanced aesthetics. They are designed with proper gaskets, stainless screws, hidden anchors, water drip profiles and various projection sizes for worry free water management control.
When ordered as a fully exposed sill pan system, it is assumed that other possibilities for sills such as stone, tile and brick will not be used. However, if these sill options are used as part of your window and door bottoms, a semi-exposed sill pans will always be recommended. We also offer sill pan accessories for corners, end caps to facilitate brick veneer and end caps for wood for vinyl siding.
Sill Pans Options
At Hawkeye Windows and Doors, the most popular choice is our heavy extruded aluminum sills that can easily be color coordinated in paints, anodizing or foils to match the window. For wall designs that incorporate stucco, the accessory can also be colored to match the stucco with fabulous results.
There are also other options available such as aged copper, steel and stainless steel; but for a door, our most commonly recommended product is a non-slip heavy aluminum pan or a stainless semi-exposed non-slip product. This sill pan will be the best choice for your entry doors, patio doors, folding door and sliding doors.
